Whole Horse Therapy

At Tailored Hoof Care, my work goes far beyond trimming feet.

The hoof is a direct reflection of what’s happening inside the body.

Imbalances, soreness, poor circulation, and compensation patterns will always show up in how a horse moves—and ultimately, in how the hoof grows.

That’s why I take a whole-horse approach.

Every appointment already includes:
• Detailed hoof evaluation and balance
• Antibacterial treatment of the foot
• Hoof sealing for protection and moisture control
• Assessment of movement and posture

But over time, I’ve seen that some horses need more than just correct trimming to truly improve.

They need support at the circulatory and muscular level.

That’s where BEMER therapy comes in.

Why BEMER?

BEMER therapy supports blood flow and microcirculation throughout the body.

Healthy circulation is critical for:
• Strong, consistent hoof growth
• Recovery from soreness or workload
• Reducing inflammation and stiffness
• Supporting the body’s natural healing process

When circulation improves, oxygen and nutrients can reach the areas that need it most—especially the lower limb and hoof capsule, where circulation is naturally limited.

This directly supports the work we’re doing through trimming.

How It Fits Into My Program

BEMER is not a replacement for proper hoof care—it’s an enhancement.

When combined with:
• Correct hoof balance
• Consistent trim cycles (4-week ideal)
• Antibacterial hoof care
• Moisture management
• Circulation support

—we create an environment where the horse can actually improve, not just maintain.

This is especially beneficial for:
• Horses with slow or poor hoof growth
• Horses recovering from soreness or lameness
• Horses with uneven movement or compensation patterns
• Performance horses needing recovery support
• Horses transitioning to barefoot

Who Benefits Most from Whole Horse Therapy?

Whole horse therapy can support a wide range of horses, but it’s especially helpful for those needing extra support beyond trimming alone.

This may be a good fit for:

• Horses with slow or inconsistent hoof growth
• Horses recovering from soreness, lameness, or injury
• Horses with poor circulation or stiffness
• Performance horses needing recovery between rides or events
• Horses transitioning to barefoot
• Older horses needing support for comfort and mobility
• Horses showing uneven movement or compensation patterns

Every horse is different, and results build over time. This therapy works best when paired with consistent, thoughtful hoof care.

My Philosophy

I don’t offer services unless they align with real results.

BEMER fits into my program because it supports what I already see every day:

The body and the hoof are directly connected
You can’t fix long-term hoof issues without supporting the whole horse
